Many girls   feel that investment pieces should be something like a pair of jeans or a plain t-shirt that you could potentially wear every day with something different, and those girls are definitely right! Where would we all be without that pair of jeans that goes with sweatshirts and nice tops?
But investment pieces are so much more than that – they’re pieces that make or break your wardrobe, which means accessories can be investments, too. While a scarf may not immediately come to mind as a staple piece, I think you’ll see that a versatile, statement-making scarf can really shake up your entire closet and give you lots of bang for your buck.
It’s hard to give you an exact color to invest in not knowing what your wardrobe consists of but I can give you some suggestions on going about choosing a color.  Personally, I am known for my signature red scarf that I wear with just about anything in my wardrobe. Being a New Yorker my wardrobe consists of a lot of black, white and gray.  I like how the red not only compliments my skin tone but adds a pop to my ensemble.

Take a look at the primary colors of your wardrobe. If your wardrobe consists of colorful hues then I would say invest in a neutral color scarf in earth tones like white, ivory, brown, etc. This will contrast the colorful hues and bring a balanced look to your attire.  If you are like me and your wardrobe consists basic blacks & grays invest in a colorful scarf, choose a color that represents your personal style.  Love pink? Invest in a shade of pink that compliments your skin tone.
I adore scarves as well and have started adding different styles to my collection. In fact, I am wearing a lavender and gray stripped scarf from NyWholesaleScarves as I write this post! There are lots of options out there. So have fun choosing the one that best suits your style.
