First off, make sure the company is listed at the bbb.org for more than 36 month. There you can check also the company reputation.
Do they have a Facebook account? most seriousness companies do.
Last but not least, is the location. Make sure you can visit their place. Even if you can’t make the trip, call and ask them if its possible to visit them. If you are being turnd away, its better off to let it go and buy somewhere else.
